Hi! My name is Megan and I run an Etsy shop called megdowntherabbithole (inspired by my lifelong Alice in Wonderland infatuation). My specialty is colorful and intricate geometric prints, which are often compared to kaleidoscopes, fractals and mandalas.
In school I studied graphic design, but creating art will always be my first love. I think that art should have the ability to temporarily take you out of the “real” word, and when I create my work, my goal is to make something interesting enough that the viewer can stare at and temporarily “lose” themselves in, even if only for a few seconds. I absolutely love color and color theory (art nerd!), and I can spend hours playing with different combinations. I experiment with many different mediums in my work, but the most common are marker, micron pens, acrylics or working digitally on my trusty Mac.
