megdowntherabbithole is an Etsy shop featuring colorful geometric artwork, as well as prints of my digital and acrylic paintings. My specialty is intricate “color wheels”, which are often compared to kaleidoscopes, fractals and mandalas.
In school I studied graphic design, but creating art will always be my first love. I think that art should have the ability to temporarily take you out of the “real” word, and when I create my work, my goal is to make something interesting enough that the viewer can stare at and temporarily “lose” themselves in, even if only for a few seconds. I absolutely love color and color theory (art nerd!), and I can spend hours playing with different combinations. I experiment with many different mediums in my work, but the most common are marker, micron pens, acrylics or working digitally on my trusty Mac.
